Spring Fling Day 19: Recipes

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

We all do it - ripping yummy looking recipes out of magazines and newspapers. Then those slips of papers languish in a folder, file or cupboard forever, never to be used again. So this fling is to go through your collection of torn-out recipes and, being brutally honest with yourself, toss the recipes that you’ve never made, you are never going to make and if you did, you’d go online to find the recipe.
Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many unneeded recipes you were able to fling today.

Spring Fling Day 18: Office Supplies

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

Staples, paper clips and notepads, oh my! Today go through any office supplies you might have in your house or your office. Do you have more paper clips that one human could ever use? Is the junk drawer overflowing with pens, half of which don’t work? Purge what you truly don’t need or won’t use in the foreseeable future.  Consider donating your overflow to local schools or churches or other nonprofits.
Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many office supplies you were able to fling today.

Spring Fling Day 17: Regrets

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

Today I want you to take a page from Elsa of ‘Frozen’ and let it go! Let go of regrets for tasks you haven’t completed. Let go of regrets for not accomplishing something you’ve wanted to do. Let go of regrets that lead to negative self talk (like ‘I’m not worth it’ or ‘I’m so stupid, Why did I do that?’).  I want you to let those thoughts go and concentrate on what’s great in your life and all the possibilities of the future. Don’t live in the past.
Now go fling those regrets!!

Spring Fling Day 16: Cups & Water Bottles

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

Does your family only use coffee cups and Tervis tumblers? Is your youngest child 12 years old but there are still sippy cups on the shelves? It’s time to fling the glasses and cups you don’t use. This will allow for the glasses you do like to use and it will keep them from tumbling out of the cupboard whenever you open the door.  Then go through your water bottle collection. Toss the ones with no lids and chewed up tops. Whittle the number of water bottles down to reasonable amount.

Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many cups and water bottles you were able to fling today.

Spring Fling Day 15: Cleaning Supplies

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

Gather your cleaning supplies. Sometimes we try different cleaning supplies and either aren’t happy with the results or don’t like the way they smell. Keep only what you actually use. Combine partially filled bottles (like products only) and safely dispose of the rest.  Throw out rags that are even too tattered to be rags. Be sure to check under all of your sinks, in the laundry room and maybe even in the garage.

Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many bottles of cleaning supplies you were able to fling today.
