One year ago today Good Life Organizing came into existence and what a blessed year it’s been! I started this venture as a way to help others, something I’ve always been called to do in one form or another. For many years I worked in the non-profit arts world, fostering artists, making creative opportunities available to the communities and sharing my love of the arts with the world. But about a year and a half ago I needed to make a change after 14 years in that world and almost 2 years as a stay-at-home mom. When I found out that professional organizing was actually a profession, and not just something you saw on TV, I thought “That’s for me!” With the support of my family and friends I began to put the wheels in motion to start my own business, a scary thing to do in such a precarious economic time, and I haven’t regretted it for a minute!
During this past year I have met the most wonderful people – amazing clients, generous and supportive professional organizers and dedicated community business leaders – all of whom have given me the courage and the wherewithal to put one foot in front of the other through the entire process. I have loved every second of the year – from picking a colleague’s brain for great ideas to seeing a client have the A-Ha moment of clarity.
So as I move into the second year of my business, I want to thank everyone who as supported me. It has meant the world to me. Here’s to living the Good Life!
